Why Make a Donation?

DMP Ministries was founded upon the legacy of Dana Michelle Pettaway, a selfless teenager whose life ended all too soon as a passenger in an auto accident, at age 16. Dana had an overflowing heart for God and an unbridled passion to serve others. Her disciplined life produced excellence in academics, leadership, and left an impact on countless people, young and old, who encountered her generous and loving spirit.

Dana’s purposes continue through the efforts of this ministry as we reward and encourage those who carry the same torch. Annually, DMP provides college scholarships to Christian high school seniors who, like Dana, demonstrate a heart of service. Often, these outstanding students are overcoming obstacles of their own to look outwardly on improving the lives of others. By assisting with college tuition, DMP is instrumental in changing communities as these students continue serving and leading others in service projects at the college level and beyond.

In addition to scholarships, our All-Occasion Etiquette program mentors children, youth and young adults through a variety of faith-based workshops that focus on esteem building, self-image, social interactions and courtesy. These principles are reinforced through hands-on interactive activities as participants acquire skills that will aid in their social success through adulthood.
